Many people like to get into their cars and simply go out for a drive but what happens when you go for a drive into the unknown for an afternoon or if you are thinking of driving to another country. A brand new gadget has hit the car of the man of the house and it comes in the form of a Sat Nav. He was perhaps a bit lucky as he managed to pick it up through his company, we have had several problems with the product though.

The product itself is fantastic, a brilliant idea for someone who doesn’t want to constantly pull over and read a map or listen to the wife telling you the wrong directions. The trouble is however that there are times where the Sat Nav is wrong and will lead you onto the wrong road and then shout at you for going the wrong way. On one occassion the crazy contraption tried to lead us into a road that wasnt even there.

Another issue with the product is that it is being used for the simplest of trips and because you are busy waiting for the voice to say “turn left” or “speed camera” it actually ends up taking longer than it would without it. I

The Sat Nav can be useful if you are on you way into another country. Sometimes it can be nice to hear directions from a person who speaks english when you are abroad and providing it points you in the right direction it can be useful for that.

Replacing them is not easy either which is why some form of Sat Nav Insurance will need to be taken out to avoid nasty replacement costs. Of course you could get gadget insurance as this actually sets out to cover you against other things like phones and games consoles. It is not always necesscary to take out that extra mobile phone insurance
