What Mobile Phones Are Soon To Include

February 21st, 2010

Cell phone technology comes on leaps and bounds all the time. It was not so long ago that games were the latest thing for phones to have and decent camera phones have only been with us a few years. Some argue that the phone companies have access to the technology long before we will ever see it, but release new updates every now and again to keep us upgrading. This may be true but it is still the case that phone technology is moving forwards at an alarming rate and it’s amazing how much electrical components they are now stuffing in those little boxes. So which are the latest gadgets to storm the cell phone world?

Projectors. How would you like to watch movies on your phone but instead of struggling to see a tiny screen, instead see a 50 inch projection on the wall? Well the latest phones are offering just that and include a powerful built-in projector using LED filament replacements that can be used to project any image visible on the screen. The first to market this technology properly is Samsung, with their I7410. Which is set to be properly released UK and US shortly. There is even talk of a newer version that uses new trackside communications cable technology that projects HD images.

Friend location. If keeping track of the locations of your acquaintances is something that interests you, Apple could soon become your best friend. They have recently launched a new service that will link you to all your friends who have the same technology and show you on a map where they all are. You’ll be happy to know that people have to opt in for this service so people cannot just see where you are automatically, although caution is still advised.
