I have had very little experience with digital cameras, and very little of it was positive. Up until I got my 5 megapixel camera, I thought that a film camera was the only way to go. All I had ever used was a camera phone. It had horrible resolution.
Now that I have a Canon Powershot 5.0 megapixel digital camera, I know better. The image is brilliant. The digital camera has not replaced the film camera yet, but it has come close. Although a film camera still has a better picture, it is not that much better. Most 5 megapixel cameras definitely give old film cameras a run for their money. Besides that, the advantages of using a 5 megapixel camera over a film camera are obvious. For all but the most professional photographers, a digital camera is surely the way to go!
Of course, there is a downside to a 5 megapixel camera. Cameras in general can be easily damaged, but much more can go wrong with a digital camera. Besides that, people steal digital cameras all the time. It costs a small fortune.
