Digital Camera Bags – Purchasing and Using

What do you put in your camera bag? Maybe purchase two camera bags – a large camera case and a smaller camera bag for those ‘pack light’ times.

Clean your camera bag occasionally. Keep your camera away from luggage handlers! A camera bag usually qualifies as your personal item.

What kinds of camera bags are there?

The size of camera bag you purchase will depend on the size of your digital camera. If you have a larger camera with lots of accessories, consider purchasing a larger camera bag that has wheels. If your digital camera is a small pocket model, a fanny pack for just your camera will work really well.

Purchasing a camera bag

  • Avoid brand name camera bags. If you have a more expensive camera, try to purchase a camera bag that does not LOOK like a camera bag.
  • Think of the accessories you’ll place in a camera bag before purchasing.
  • Buy a camera case with lots of pockets and zippered compartments.
  • Watch out for the prices of camera cases (and other accessories) when purchasing a camera case at the same time as your camera.

Tips For Finding the Right Camera Bag For You

Executive Summary about Digital Camera Bags by Anne Clarke

Which sort of camera bag should you choose?

A camera bag should make your camera easier to carry, not more of a hassle. If you are just starting out taking photographs, you may only need a basic camera bag – a bag that will hold just your camera. But if you have multiple camera accessories, like multiple camera bodies and lenses, etc, you are obviously going to need a larger camera bag.

If your camera bag is going to be used to carry more than just a camera, you definitely want dividers in it.

A middle toned camera bag will also hide dirt pretty well.

Digital Camera Cases

Like I always say, why don’t you buy the necessary accessories needed for your camera before hand? If you buy a digital camera they usually provide you with a case in order for you to keep the camera safe. Camera cases where specifically made to store the camera ensuring that no humidity, dust and any other harmful circumstances can affect it. The cases also ensure that if it does fall down the camera is protected.

Some camera cases come with a long strand that one can use to carry his or her camera with, by putting it around your neck. These cases come in handy especially if you are a traveler or tourist, like if you travel to an exotic place you have to walk around with your camera safe and the only way would be by using your camera case.

It is necessary that you get a waterproof case if you are the outdoor type and you know you are going somewhere it will probably rain. Also provide cases for your lenses which are advisable if you are an outdoorsy kind of person who is always going to distant place to take photographs. The camera case is usually a very handy accessory that often saves your digital camera from ending up a pile of rubbish which is why most cameras are guaranteed to come with a case when you buy it.

Canon Rebel Camera Case – Finding The Perfect One – Case Solved

Executive Summary about Digital Camera Cases by Chris Campbell

Have you been shopping around endlessly looking for the perfect camera case for your Canon Rebel? I’m always perplexed, as to why camera manufacturers refuse to include a camera case with their cameras. The original manufacturer knows the camera design far better than anyone. You could get away with one big case to carry the rebel, tripod, filters, memory cards, batteries and the inevitable assortment of lenses. An alternative I prefe, is having one big “carry everything” case, and one small “run out the door with just the essentials” bag.

It also removes the potentially bad decision to just chuck the camera totally naked into the bottom of your backpack with a bunch of other camera wrecking stuff.

Be sure to check the straps and hand grips that come with the case. A non brand name camera bag is not such a bad idea as well. Cheap synthetic materials may not look as nice a rich Corinthian leather bag, but they can be just as tough and durable as the expensive leather ones.
