The current crop of digital video camcorders can record directly to DVD, memory stick, flash memory and hard disks. They can record video and still images at the same time and switch between High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) format.

If actually you want your camcorder to give you the maximum utility, you really need to handle your camcorder with great care and caution. If the camcorder is brought directly from a cold place to a warm place, moisture may condense inside the camcorder, on the surface of the tape, on the head, or on the floppy disk. When moisture condense inside the camcorder, the tape may stick to the head drum and be damaged or the camcorder may not operate correctly. To prevent possible damage, as a result of condensed moisture inside your camcorder, your camcorder is already furnished with moisture sensors.

  • If you want to ensure normal recording and clear pictures, clean the video heads.
  • Always operate your camcorder on power supply rate as indicated on the manual when using battery pack or AC power adopter.
  • Avoid rough handling or mechanical shock.
  • Be particularly careful of the lens of your camcorder. Keep the camcorder away from strong magnetic fields or mechanical vibration.
  • Avoid touching or damaging the terminals. To remove dust, clean the terminals with a soft cloth.
  • Clean the camcorder body with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
  • Do not let sand get into the camcorder.
  • Place your camcorder battery pack on a flat surface without vibration during charging.
  • Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or if the unit has been dropped or damaged.
  • You can avoid possible damage from battery leakage or corrosion by making sure you insert your batteries in the correct direction, avoid use of a combination of new and old batteries, avoid using different types of batteries and also do not use battery that is leaking.
  • If any difficulty should arise, unplug the unit and contact your nearest dealer.
